JSON Toolkit (bbdrug.com) provides online utilities for parsing, formatting, converting, comparing and querying JSON. We collect as little as possible and keep data processing on your device wherever we can.
This policy explains what limited information we process when you visit the site, how browser local storage and cookies are used, and the rights you can exercise.
By using the site you confirm that you have read this policy; if you do not agree, please stop using the affected features.
JSON Content Is Processed Locally in Your Browser
Every JSON value you paste, import or type into the editor is parsed, formatted, minified, escaped, compared and converted in browser memory only. It is never sent to our servers, stored by us, or included in any backup.
The core tools require no registration, sign-in or account details of any kind.
- Parsing, formatting, minification, escaping, comparison and conversion all run locally
- Uploaded files are read inside the browser and are not submitted with any request
- Content held in memory is released when you close the page
Analytics and Traffic Statistics
In production, Baidu Analytics and Google Tag Manager collect traffic statistics so that we can understand how pages are used and improve the experience.
The collection process may record conventional log data such as IP address, User-Agent, referring page, request path, access time and approximate region.
- Statistics are used only for traffic analysis and product improvement
- We do not sell, rent or trade traffic statistics
- Statistics are not linked to your JSON content, because we cannot access that content
Static Hosting and Cloud Logs
Pages, images and cover assets are hosted on Tencent Cloud Object Storage (COS) and delivered through a content delivery network (CDN).
The cloud provider may record and retain server access logs under its own policies for availability and security purposes; processing of those logs is governed by the provider privacy policy.
- Static asset requests pass through CDN nodes
- Retention periods are set by the cloud provider, and we keep no separate copy
Browser Local Storage
To improve usability the site uses browser local storage (localStorage and IndexedDB) to keep drafts, processing history and preferences such as interface language and editor options.
This data stays on your device, is never uploaded to a server, and is never synchronised across devices.
- Drafts and history can be cleared on the relevant tool page
- Browser settings can also clear local data stored by this site
- Cleared records cannot be restored
Use of Cookies
The site uses cookies and similar identifiers for the traffic statistics described above and for remembering your language choice, to distinguish visits, measure page performance and keep the interface language consistent.
Disabling cookies does not affect the core parsing, formatting or conversion tools.
On your first visit, the site asks Tencent EdgeOne, our edge delivery provider, for your country or region code derived from your IP address and stores it in a first-party functional cookie (jt-country, 7 days) only to choose the interface language. The IP address itself is not stored or shared, and no third-party geolocation service is used. You can change the language at any time; your choice is remembered locally.
- Cookies can be restricted or deleted in your browser settings
- Blocking analytics cookies may prevent statistics from reflecting your visits accurately
Your Rights
Because we do not collect your JSON content, any access, export or deletion of that content happens directly on your device.
For information connected with traffic statistics, you may ask what is processed, object to processing, or request deletion.
- Access: learn which visit-related information is processed
- Deletion: clear browser local storage or request removal from the analytics provider
- Objection: block analytics cookies and scripts through browser settings
Protection of Minors
The site is intended for users with basic computer literacy and does not primarily target minors.
Minors should use the site under the guidance of a guardian and avoid posting any content containing personal information in public channels.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors
- Guardians who become aware of such a case may contact us through GitHub Issues
Data Security
Pages and assets are transmitted over HTTPS, and static assets receive baseline protection from the cloud provider.
Because core processing happens locally, your JSON content is not exposed through a server compromise; even so, avoid pasting keys or personal information into public channels.
- Do not paste keys, tokens or identity numbers into public issues
- Keep local backups of important data
Policy Updates
This policy may be updated as features change or as legal requirements evolve; the effective date on this page will be revised accordingly.
If an update involves material changes, we will highlight it on the page.
- Continued use of the site indicates acceptance of the updated policy
- If you disagree, you may stop using the affected features and give feedback through GitHub Issues
